Dedication
This site is dedicated to the memory of the late Michael Balfré (1939 - 2012) whose monumental and meticulous work brought together so many of the far-flung branches of the Balfry diaspora. He was not content to trace just his own line, but was interested in anyone who could show a link to a Balfry somewhere. Many of the trees listed under the Tab "All Family Trees" were compiled by Make.
For my own efforts, I am grateful for not only Michael's contribution but to my cousin Graham Kelsey Balfry of Bristol who gave his charts to my mother and which got me going on this quest. He later gave me copies of old correspondence and photographs. Along the line I have been helped by: Margaret Ryan of Caerconlish; Barbara Kurstein of Welyn Garden City; Chris. Britton of Hampshire, Peter Rickards of Victoria, Australia; Charleen Noyer of California; Meghan Rushing and Catie Woahan of N.
